16.5.2011 Neffi BIS in Tampere!

My beautiful female Birregin Victory Ford (OSH n) was Best In Show last saturday in PIROK catshow, Tampere. Her judge was Henry Hornell who liked her lean body and beautiful fur. Plus she has an amazing eyecolor!

22.3.2011 We are now living at Hyvinkää!

We moved to Hyvinkää last weekend. Cats love to play in our new apartment and they like to climb on closets where they can see both livingroom and hallway. They have been very keen on searching places here.

Neffi had her first heat after moving here. She screamed to neighbours that there are cats now here. She was not as loud as I had feared though.

9.3.2011 We are moving.

I have found a new home for us. It is located in Hyvinkää, Southern Finland. I'm happy also because it wil be so much easier to go to catshows and get a catsitter. This spring/summer we have no kittenplans and so I dedicate this year to catshows and simple life at home with my cats.

27.2.2011 Lala

I went to Espoo to see my breeding cat Lala in her satellitehome. Lala was still very sweet girl. She purred and came right away to meet me. She has her mothers big eyes. Pretty girl, but her nose is still very long. I have decided to postpone her kittenplans to future. She does not have proper heats yet and my own plans for this spring haven't realised. 2.2.2011 SUROK Lahti

Last weekend we were in SUROK catshow at Lahti. Saturday was Neffi's day. Jaana Jyrkinen was her judge. Jaana liked specially Neffi's very green eyes. Neffi was BIV and NOM. In panel Neffi competed with a very handsome oriental shorthair. Votes vere even at first. Third judge vas called to decide and he picked the other yangster. Anyway I was very happy about Neffi's success.

Sunday was not as good day. I had Edi and Belle with me. Lena Chapman was judging both. Belle got her CAGCIB. Edi didn't get a certificate in this high class (4), because there were some spots in his legs that have less hair. But the weekend was very nice as whole!

29.11.2010 TUROK cat show

This Saturday Edi and Neffi participated in TUROK catshow in Turku. Edi's judge was Mira Fonsen, who liked Edi, but Edi's coat was in bad condition. I knew this already. Edi got his CAPS certificate, and I was happy about that. Neffi's judge was Luigi Comorio, who was a very fast judge. He liked Neffi, and gave lots of compliments. Only Neffis expression was not so good. Neffi got EX1 with no competition. In Best in Variety competition she lost to her own brother, who had better expression.

This weekend i participated SRK's Breeder's genetics -course. It was very interesting and good course, thank you SUROK for hosting this course.

2.11.2010 Cat Genetics-project!

Please everyone, take part in Cat Genetics recearch. Hannes Lohi has started feline genetic research in the University of Helsinki, Finland. Their aim is to collect DNA samples, clinical data and pedigree information from cats with different inherited diseases.To be able to conduct these studies, they need as many blood samples as possible from the affected cats and their healthy relatives. So please, do sent your samples! More information in Cat genetics reseach-page!

My Belle has already taken part to recearch. Other cats will follow as they go to have vaccinations or bloodsamples for something else etc. any visit to vet.

31.10.2010 We have a new baby!

This time it's not a burmese, but an oriental shorthair baby. Her name is Nefer. Nefer is sweet, purring little black thing. Belle loved her at first sight and took her as her new baby. So she is taking care of Neffi now, even watching her as she sleeps. Edi is very interested too. But if the baby comes too near he hisses a little.

22.8.2010 RUROK Catshow in Vantaa

Belle got her 3rd. CACIB and graduated to International Champion. She was also Best in Variety. Judge Arja Martikainen thought that she was very balanced in body and head, bur her coat was a little rough. Belle's sons Fantti and Reino were both ex1. All these cats were called to nomination but were not nominated. After all, I'm very happy to out succes.

17.8.2010 FELIX catshow in Tallinn

We travelled to Tallinn with Edi and Belle. The trip went very well. Cats were calm and behaved nice. Hotel SUSI was a nice place with air conditioner! It was very hot outside. Saturday Edis judge was Thea Friskovec, who loved Edis nature. Edi went right to her lap when I put him on the table. Edi got fine comments and his CAPS. In Best in variety-selection were two other very beautiful seal burmese, so Edi didn't win. Belle's judgement was at the same time as Edis, but fortunately there were friends who helped, thanks Tii! Belle also got her certificate.

Sunday Edi's judge was Eric Reijers. He also loved Edi, who purred and showed how much he loved the attention. He gave Edi another CAPS and good comments. Belle was judged by Eva Wieland-Schilla, who was very fast and didn't say much, but she liked my girl and gave her a CACIB-certification. Now Belle needs only one CACIB and she will be IC.

The trip was very nice. Thanks to all friends! When we came home cats were very happy and me too. Kittens had been a little time by themselves and were very loving and purring the whole night.

3.8.2010 Belle is Champion

Last weekend Belle participated in SUROK catshow in Helsinki. Her judge was Linda Knýová. The judge didn't speak much, but overall Belle in a nice looking girl but her fur is not so good. After all Belle got her centificate and is now Champion!

Next show is FELIX show in Tallinn. I'm taking Edi and Belle, and hoping that they would get at least one certificate each, but we'll see. I'm very excited about the trip.

11.7.2010 Lala and Belle in Catshow

Lala and Belle were in URK catshow in Vantaa this saturday. It was very hot, but otherwise a fun day.

Belles judge was Lotte Borch. She specially liked Belle's ears that are just the right size. Also head type was beautiful. Only thing that was not fine was Belle's coat that is too open and long, not slick like it should be. Belle was called to Nomination too, but did not make it to panel due to her coat. Belle got her CAC and needs a one more to be a Champion. Maybe we can celebrate that in SUROK 31.7.

Lala was judged by Yan Roca-Folch, who tought Lala was a very beautiful girl. He liked Lalas round head and her profile was lovely. Only her nose is too long. Lala was also called to Nomination. Judge said it was hard, because all six kittens were so beautiful. Finally he picked another beautiful kitten to panel.

Both girls behaved so fine! Specially Lala loved to be in spotlight and purred and pushed with her head.
